Janis Joplin used and worn belt that comes with a letter of provenance from Mickey Deans, the man that was given the hat by Janis Joplin.
Deans, famous for being Judy Garland's 5th husband, was employed as a nightclub manager in London. Janis Joplin came into the club that had memorabilia displayed of other famous performers and gave Deans the hat off her head to add to his collection. The
belt is
being sold based on the information in the letter of provenance that we obtained with the
belt. The belt has a strong odor. Not sure if it's some type of oil but wanted to make note of it.
