Universal Aluminum EZ-Install Hood Louvers BMW E36 M3

Description

Drastically lower under-hood temps, reduce under-hood pressure/lift, increase downforce with these custom EZ-Install hood louvers from VRaptor SpeedWorks, LLC.  This set of louvers was specifically designed to fit the BMW E36 hood, but can also be used on other makes and models.  Made from aluminum, this louver set comes with the center louver section plus both Gurney Flaps/Wickerbills as shown in the photos.  The center louvers are roughly 27" wide and 15" high overall.  The Gurney flaps work to produce an increased low pressure area above the louvers to increase airflow.  Please note that these louvers are bare aluminum (not painted or powdercoated) and ship flat and do require some assembly.  While the louvers are flat, use them as your cut template to mark the cut opening in your hood.  This design allows you to use the louvers to mark out the cut on your hood using the inner part of the perimeter, cut the hole slightly oversized from your marks and the perimeter of the louvers will hide the cut edge of the hood.....so you can install these on a painted hood without having to repaint the hood when done.  These louvers also come with a mounting brace that holds each louver blade to the proper angle and reinforces the panel, providing additional rigidity.  These can be installed with screws or rivets (not included).

1.  Use the flat louvered panel as you template to trace the inner part of the perimeter. (see photo)
2.  Make your cut line slightly larger than the inner perimeter. (see photo)
3.  Cut your holes. (see photo)
4.  Use the slots in the braces as a guide to form your louvers to the correct angle. (see photo)
5.  Install your louvers.  I would recommend using 1/8" aluminum rivets for a clean look.
