Great vintage find!  This is an original tin (made in ENGLAND!) containing an unopened bag of Amethyst Bath Oil Crystals (20 oz.).  Distributed by Benjamin Anschl Co. in St. Louis MO, this can be used "for a delightful, soothing experience..."
Original tag is still attached and bag is sealed, however, the fragrance is still nice and strong when the tin is opened.  This has been in storage for many, many years and is a must have for any enthusiast or collector.
